Israel removes intrusive ‘security’ measures, Al-Aqsa reopens

Celebrations were held at Al-Aqsa today as Israeli occupation forces removed their intrusive 'security' measures. Israel had setup metal detectors and advanced surveillance cameras at the doors of Al-Aqsa on 16 July 2017, a move that was rejected by Palestinians who saw this as a change to the status quo at the Islamic holy site and a step towards its Judaisation. After two weeks of protests and sit-ins, Israel reversed its decision and Palestinians returned to Al-Aqsa today. MEMO reports on the situation on the ground.

Day of Rage at Al-Aqsa Mosque

Palestinians are to gather outside Al Aqsa for a "Day of Rage" in protest of new Israeli “security measures” put in place this week. Following a deadly shootout and brief closure of the mosque, Palestinians pledge to hold Friday prayers outside the compound, condemning the installation of metal detectors at gates to the complex.

Palestine Expo: Student and campus activism for Palestine

Part of the Palestine Expo weekend, we will be live blogging how student and campus activism has made positive contributions to Palestinian solidarity and what obstacles it faces.
